Wow - my initial reaction was impressive, but not as impressive as my later reaction as the scent developed. What starts out as a rich citrus accord, not too dissimilar from Himalaya or MAT Male, with a hint of mint and cedar, slowly develops as if by magic into a woodsy, rich, deep drydown with notes of coffee bean, sandalwood and patchouli leaves. This is not the Lempicka or Yohji kinda drydown, but something warm and mellow...delicious! Not overly sweet, not too loud, but also not hugely long-lasting. It stuck around for a couple of hours and then seemed to fade...Either that or I drank too much wine and my nose shut-down!
The bottle is the same as the original, though this time it is a matte black finish with white lettering. |
